Founders Forum is a private global community of the most innovative tech thinkers, investors and influencers in the world. It’s been 10 years since Founders Forum first hosted their yearly flagship invite-only event at The Grove. Earlier this year they welcomed 700 handpicked guests.

The Grove provides everything they need for brainstorming, discussing and problem-solving in the most inspirational setting. Here, the Head of Events, Jesse Peterkin at Founders Forum, shares why he recommends The Grove.

Quintessentially English charm

“We used The Grove for many, many reasons. First and foremost is location. It’s key that The Grove isn’t central London yet within the M25 and close to Heathrow, so it’s very convenient and delegates commit to come for the day. The beautiful estate and hotel has a quintessentially English charm and international delegates are particularly enthusiastic about it. In many senses it’s a blank canvas and we build our magic on top of it.

We always used the entire estate as much as we can. We try to be on the edge of everything, all the time. We enlist a London based production company, Marble LDN, who work directly with The Grove to create our vision. The Grove is always on hand to expand and improve, and this has allowed us to make each year better than the last. The events staff have always been very eager to help and find solutions. During the event, the front-of-house staff are always great to work with, as well.

Exclusive access to the Walled Garden

For the event in 2019 we touched up the beautiful garden at The Grove with 5 dome structures to make the most of the space. These domes were used for some of our sessions and one of them was an Innovation Hub where technology not yet available on the market was showcased. We also used the Amber and the Cedar Suites for our headliners. When I took over Events at Founders Forum, I changed the rhythm of the day by taking everyone to the Walled Garden for a BBQ dinner after a long day of brainstorming sessions and networking. We had exclusive access to this space and there, our guests were able to let their hair down and enjoy mingling in a relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful backdrop.

Extended stays with access to restaurants, spa and golf

The Grove is the ideal hotel for the calibre of all our guests. Often they choose to extend the duration of their visit as they recognise how powerful it is to network in this way… and The Grove’s surroundings, restaurants, rooms and suites, golf and spa makes it perfect for staying on.”
