Watford is great for many things but one thing we do really well is boss breakfast and brunch! After all, one of the reasons weekends were made for is to sleep in a bit and then stuff yourselves with some tasty brunch food made just for you. Whether you want to go for a full English or delicious pancakes the American way,  here is a list that presents the best of the best.

  • Contemporary European chain. Light and airy during the day, Bill’s Watford restaurant is open all day and into the night, dishing up mouth-watering breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and dinner, with a mix of quiet booths and sharing tables.

    Bills began in 2000, as a greengrocer’s in the south coast, but after a flood, a cafe was added to the shop. It has since been followed by an expansion of restaurants around the UK, serving fresh and seasonal food.

  • Daisy’s serves up deliciously fresh and wholesome breakfast all day as well as a great range of healthy mains and lovely treats.

    With locally sourced produce and their fair-trade teas and coffee, make sure you pop in for a restoring cuppa. Food and drink are made from uniquely sourced ingredients and homemade in kitchens by talented young chefs and is affordable to all.

  • Rhubarb is a lovely local independent coffee shop & cafe in the heart of Cassiobury, Watford. Delicious breakfasts, sandwiches and lunch snacks, homemade soups, fair-trade & organic coffee, whole leaf tea pig teas, milkshakes and scrumptious home-baked cakes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Also, we need to mention their stunning yard and outdoor seating!

  • Ocean Bells are an independent coffee shop conceived by the ambition to be the best and born of their passion for deliciously tasting food and professionally crafted coffee and teas.

    Menu options include artisan coffee, loose leaf tea, homemade cakes, freshly prepared sandwiches and vegan food and drink options.

  • At Feel Hot Yoga, they know that wellbeing isn’t just about stretching your muscles. It’s much more than that. It’s about the food we eat, the drinks we consume and life choices we are constantly making. It is with that in mind that they launched The Wellbeing Café. The wellbeing cafe offers a healthy and delicious way to eat, refresh and connect. Their cooking is healthy vegan and vegetarian cafe food – everything from homemade vegan chili and the green curry to exciting superfood salads, and hearty bakes. As well as cakes and snacks. There are gluten-free and vegan cakes available. Some of them being good for you too. Everyone is welcome at the wellbeing café, including well-behaved dogs!

  • Visit this European style café, coffee shop and wine bar located in Market Street Watford.

    Fresh Shop offer hot and cold sandwiches, freshly made crepes, panini salads, cakes, ice cream, cold beer, soft drinks, wine, and free Wi-Fi.

    The creperie is open seven days a week, serving delicious sweet and savoury crepes, cakes and desserts, sliced omelets, continental meats, coffee, Italian lagers and beers, wines and bottled ciders.

  • One of the most famous spots in Watford and at a “premier” location with a wonderful view of Cassiobury Park. The Cha Cafe serves freshly prepared food everyday day of the week. You can eat inside, outside on our benches or have it to take away.

  • The Flourish is open 8 am – 4 pm daily. No need to reserve a table, just swing by and they’ll fit you in. They do freshly roasted coffee and a wide range of teas. They love kids, guide-dogs and if you’re in a wheelchair you’ll be pleased to hear they’re step-free. And there’s plenty of parking right outside the front door.
