Working together with Watford Borough Council and New Hope during the Coronavirus Crisis, One YMCA manages to help even more local people providing temporary accommodation for the majority of rough sleepers in Watford during the outbreak.

All of One YMCA’s #WatfordLocalHeroes, spanning from:
- Their 20 new volunteers in the Watford community who are giving up their free time to help others
- Their redeployed colleagues from across the organisation that are stepping outside their job roles and have been retrained as temporary Housing Support Assistants
- Their colleagues that were on the front line before COVID-19 that continue to work around the clock
- Their Outstanding Ofsted rated Nursery staying open for keyworker families and children in the Watford area
- Their Youth Team have adapted the way in which they support young people through a new digital platform, ensuring the most vulnerable young people still have access to support and guidance from trained professionals
This approach combined has allowed #TeamOneYMCA to realign their focus and resources to support the most vulnerable in our community through their Community Critical Services. Working together with Watford Borough Council and New Hope during the Coronavirus Crisis has meant helping even more local people as One YMCA help provide temporary accommodation for the majority of people who are sleeping rough in Watford during the outbreak.
