Watford Borough Council Chairman, Cllr Aga Dycthon, is raising vital funds for her two chosen charities: Watford Women’s Centre and Electric Umbrella by encouraging people to join her in the Watford Moves Together Challenge.
Published: 02 March 2021
Everyone is welcome to take part. The idea is to join the Chairman and start walking, running or moving over your chosen distance of 10km, 25km, 50km, and 100km throughout the 31 days in March. It is only £5 to take part and free to those under 18. After signing up you’ll be added as a fundraiser on the gofundme page, which you can then share and promote to help reach the goal.
As well as making a real difference to two of the town’s terrific charities who have been supporting residents throughout the covid pandemic, it’s a chance to get fit and enjoy the great outdoors as we head into Spring.
Chairman Aga Dychton said: “I have had the privilege of being the Chairman of Watford Borough Council for the past year. It has been an unprecedented year which nobody has expected. My theme for the year as Chairman is to enrich and empower self-confidence.
“During this challenging year, our community once again showed caring and resilient we are, coming together to help one another. “As my last action as Chairman, I would like to invite the Watford community to take part in my final charity event – the Watford Moves Together Challenge.”
