The BIG party in our Park! Celebrating Queen and Town together.
This Platinum Jubilee weekend, Watford has a BIG celebration planned, as we honour 170 years of incredible achievement.
Her Majesty has been ruling for 70 years, something achieved by no other monarch and we, as a town have been a Borough thoughout that reign. It is 100 years since we were awarded that recognition. So what better way to celebrate these landmarks than with one BIG party.
It all starts at 11am when a colour parade of dancers and musicians will leave the thoroughly appropriate Queen’s Road entrance to Atria shopping centre. The parade will head through the town centre to the pond stopping to entertain along the way. Then it’s over to Cassiobury park bandstand at around 12.15 to continue the day’s very special entertainment.
