Watford’s Mayor, Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor - Mayor of Watford

Peter Taylor became Watford’s elected Liberal Democrat Mayor on 4 May 2018.

He is a former school teacher and lives locally with his three young children.

“I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and my best wishes for 2023.
Last year was an eventful one – as a borough we celebrated our centenary and we welcomed back some of our great Big Events, including the big beach and Imagine Watford.
But it was also a difficult year for many with the cost-of-living crisis continuing to hit, the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II and political turmoil leading to economic problems.
I hope that this year, 2023,  will bring happiness and that we will continue to work together as a community.”

Our vision for Watford is to create a bold and progressive future for the town
